Ontario Hockey Association Announces 2026 Officiating Development Camp

The Ontario Hockey Association is proud to announce its upcoming Officiating Development Camp, taking place May 22–24, 2026 at the University of Guelph.

Designed to support the growth and advancement of hockey officials across Ontario, this immersive three-day experience provides a unique blend of on-ice training, classroom learning, and mentorship from experienced leaders in the game.

Whether you are an emerging official looking to build confidence or an experienced referee aiming to refine your performance, the Officiating Development Camp offers a high-performance environment focused on real development.

A Complete Development Experience

Participants will receive a well-rounded experience that combines both practical and theoretical learning, including:

• 6 hours of on-ice development, including officiating live gameplay situations

• 4 hours of classroom instruction, focused on positioning, decision-making, and game management

• A 2-hour Hot Stove session, offering open discussion and insight from experienced officials

• Opportunities for direct feedback and mentorship throughout the weekend

This structure ensures officials are not only learning concepts—but applying them in real-time scenarios.

Flexible Registration Options

To accommodate different needs, the camp offers both overnight and day registration options:

• Overnight Package ($600 HST included)

  Includes two nights of accommodation in University of Guelph townhouses, plus meals (three on Saturday, two on Sunday)

• Day Rate ($475 HST included)

  Includes full access to all on-ice and classroom sessions without accommodation
