The World Juniors Pre-Tournament Schedule is Out!

The pre-tournament schedule for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship is set, with seven Ontario communities hosting games from December 19-23. A total of 11 games will take place across Eastern Ontario as teams gear up for the main event!

Ottawa will kick things off and wrap up the pre-tournament action, hosting 3 games, while Arnprior, Belleville, Brockville, Cornwall, Hawkesbury, and Kingston will also welcome teams to their arenas. Each of the 10 competing teams will play during this 5-day lead-up.

Canada will play Switzerland on December 19 and Sweden on December 21 at TD Place in Ottawa, and Czechia on December 23 at the Canadian Tire Centre.
All games start at 7 PM.

In addition to games, the communities will host pre-tournament camps, with teams such as Latvia, Finland, and the United States training in local facilities.

Tickets for pre-tournament games are on sale now and individual game tickets for the main tournament in Ottawa are still available at HockeyCanada.ca/WorldJuniors.

TSN and RDS will broadcast all 3 of Canada’s exhibition games and all 29 tournament games, starting December 26 with Sweden vs. Slovakia at 12 PM. For more details, visit HockeyCanada.ca.
