The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is deeply saddened by the passing of Doug Kennedy, a true pillar of the Kincardine sports community. Doug's passion for hockey was unmatched, from coaching youth teams to being the driving force behind the revival of junior hockey in Kincardine. Over 25 years with the Kincardine Bulldogs, Doug served in various roles, leaving an indelible mark on the team and the league. His leadership extended to the PJHL, where he played a crucial role in its growth and success.

Doug’s unwavering dedication to hockey was recognized last year with the OHA Gold Stick Award for 50 years of outstanding service. Beyond the rink, his contributions to Kincardine’s municipal committees reflected his deep commitment to the community he loved.

Doug is survived by his wife, Cathy Alcombrack, three sons, and three grandchildren. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
