The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) celebrated the spirit of hockey and its dedicated contributors at the OHF Awards ceremony held Saturday evening at the Toronto Marriott Hotel. The event, attended by key figures from the hockey community, recognized individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the sport through their volunteerism, leadership, and dedication to equity and inclusion.

Since its inception after the 2001-2002 season, the OHF Awards Program has honoured those who go above and beyond to support and grow the game of hockey. This year's event featured the presentation of 8 awards:

  • The Bill Richmond Memorial Award, recognizing excellence in administration
  • The Dr. Allan Morris Award, honouring exceptional leadership in hockey development
  • The Officiating Program Award, for significant contributions to hockey officiating
  • The Order of Merit Award, celebrating a lifetime of dedicated service to hockey
  • The Staff Award, highlighting outstanding work by OHF personnel
  • The Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing unparalleled commitment by a volunteer
  • The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Hockey Award, spotlighting efforts to make hockey accessible and welcoming for all
  • The Woman in Hockey Award, acknowledging impactful contributions by women in the sport.

The ceremony served as a reminder of the invaluable role played by volunteers, administrators, and advocates in shaping hockey into an inclusive and thriving community. Each award recipient exemplifies the passion and dedication that make hockey more than just a game.

As the OHF continues to foster growth and innovation in hockey, we remain committed to recognizing those who inspire positive change in the sport.
