Meet the U13 AA Aurora Tigers

The U13 AA Aurora Tigers are gearing up for an exciting 2024-2025 season, both on and off the ice. Representing Aurora’s diversity, the team has a history of success, maintaining a winning record over the past three seasons, including multiple tournament championships and a YSMHL Championship title.

  • 2023-2024: 24-18-6 | Richmond Hill Early Bird Tournament
  • 2022-2023: 26-15-8 | Ottawa Capital Classic Champions; CANAM Lake Placid Silver
  • 2021-2022: 16-8-4 | YSMHL Champions; International Silver Stick Finalists

Beyond their on-ice achievements, the U13 AA Aurora Tigers prioritize community engagement and volunteerism. This commitment to giving back is evident through their active involvement in Aurora Headstart Hockey—a partnership between the Town of Aurora and the Aurora Minor Hockey Association.

Aurora Headstart Hockey: Growing the Game

The Aurora Headstart Hockey program introduces newcomers to the sport in a fun, inclusive, and affordable way. It’s an 8-week pre-hockey and learn-to-play program supported by volunteers, including the U13 AA Tigers players, who assist on the ice each week.

To make hockey accessible to all, the program provides donated equipment for participants in need. In 2025, the program welcomed 28 participants, 13 of whom were fully outfitted with donated gear. This initiative reflects Aurora’s dedication to inclusivity and growing the sport by breaking down barriers to participation.
