Job Post: Coordinator, Operations

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) is a governing body for amateur hockey in Ontario and is the largest member Branch of Hockey Canada. In cooperation with its seven (7) Member Partners, the organization oversees the management of hockey programs from entry level to high performance. The OHF is inviting applications for Coordinator, Operations. This position will involve work with other staff, volunteers, Hockey Canada and the Member Partners. The position will be located at the OHF Office in Cambridge, Ontario with a hybrid work schedule. The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $52,000 per year plus benefits.

Role Summary

A highly organized and dynamic Operations Coordinator to support our Governance and Strategic Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and supporting governance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative and Governance support

  • Assist in the development, implementation and tracking of strategic and operational plans.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take notes and ensure follow-up on action items related to governance and strategic operations.
  • Support the management of projects, including tracking progress and reporting on key metrics.
  • Support the management in creating reports on strategic and operational plan outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between departments, committees and Board to ensure strategic alignment and efficient operation.
  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for governance activities, including committee meeting support, document management, compliance tracking and management of key deliverables.

General to all

  • Maintaining a common electronic file of the Federation’s documents.
  • Drafting OHF Operational Plan and OHF Budget.
  • Preparation of documents and presentations in Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or Operations Director.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related program.
  • Proven experience in an operations coordination role, preferably in a governance or strategic operations context.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on collaboration and team-building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning processes and governance structures.
